Every Members shares in the life of the church We share ministry because we understand that Jesus came to empower everyone, not just a few, not just professionals, and certainly not super-saints. So we know that every person who becomes part of this church has been given the power and the passion by Jesus to do good which will either help the church or help the church's ability to project the love of Christ into our community. We are called to make a difference! You are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. [1 Corinthians 12:27] [Jesus called] some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up [Ephesians 4:11-12] Steps to finding your ministry within the Body of Christ Network Discovery Class -- held at different times throughout the calendar year based on interest. Contact the church office to sign up. (1) Take a Spiritual Gifts Assessment -- don't be afraid of the results. They only expresses where your heart passions already are. (2) Life Experiences -- what experiences have you had that enable you to touch the lives of others in a personal way. God does not waste either the joys or the tragedies in our lives. [i.e. divorce, cancer survivor, grief support, evangelism, drug awareness, Women's support, poverty and mission outreach, etc.] (3) Connect -- We learn best by getting involved. Test the waters and find where you are both growing, stretching, and helping others. Don't wait to be asked. FUMC Ministry Survey Form
