Making Disciples Awaken people to the reality of God’s extravagant grace until they embrace it with gratitude. If you were to create a mental picture of what the church means to you, what would it look like? Would it be a rock, cold, hard, and unchanging, a relic of the past without the passion for the present, or would it be more a leaf of autumn, carried by the winds of changes, with no real direction or intent, just movement. For centuries the most common image for the church has been as a great ship, riding the waves of change, protecting those aboard from the storms of life, yet pushing forever forward It is our opinion that every church, every Christian that follows Jesus, will ultimately be judged by how well it kept true to the Great Commission "Therefore, Go and Make Disciples ..." [Matthew 28:19] "When the Holy Spirit comes to you, you will receive power. You will be my witnesses—in Jerusalem, in all of Judea, in Samaria, and in every part of the world."
Making a Difference Empower ordinary people to make lasting life change through the power of the Holy Spirit. you should be a light for other people. Live so that they will see the good things you do and will praise your Father in heaven. Let us think about each other and help each other to show love and do good deeds. [Hebrews 10:24] |
