Methodist Church

Steve and Linette Gedon are both originally from Centre Hall, Pennsylvania and graduated from the same high school, Penns Valley Area High School. They have been married for 23 years and have three children, Katelin (20), Abbie (17), and Alex (13), and most recently a grandson Rylan. Steve graduated from Penn State University (1985) with a BS in chemistry and from Duke University with a PhD in organic chemistry. Steve worked for Eastman Kodak in Kingsport, TN for 8 years, Crompton, and finally General Electric as a research chemist before responding to the call to ministry. He is the author of over 18 US and World patents, 25 technical articles, and two encyclopedia chapters. He is currently completing an MDiv degree from Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, KY. Steve was appointed to First United Methodist Church, Williamstown, WV in December 2004 after serving at Calcutta / Nine Mile Charge for 3 years and Fairview UMC for one year. Steve brings a passion for serving Christ in ways the touch people’s lives in a practical way and with an offer of hospitality and service that Jesus modeled for His disciples.

Kianna and Ron Anderson are both from the Weatherford, Oklahoma area.  They have been married for 19 years and have two children, Corby (21), and Kalie (14).  They moved to West Virginia from Lake Charles, Louisiana, in August of 1998.  Kianna has been our church secretary for the last 8 years and the leader of our Children’s Ministry team for the last 2 years.  She is the coordinator for our Mother’s Day Out program for children ages 6 mo. to 5 yrs., Parent’s Nite Out, Vacation Bible School, and currently teaches the Sprouts Sunday school class each week with Linette Gedon. Ron is the Plant Manager for Tetra Chemicals in Parkersburg.  He has been employed with Tetra since 1991.
